My four-legged "fur girl" loves going to Kim's because it's always a surprise as to who she gets to play with that day. She comes home happy and exhausted. When I go out of town and she stays at Kim's I always know she'll be safe, well taken care of and will not be missing me one bit. In fact, being at Kim's is like being at her second home, and I'm very grateful for that! Thanks Kim!

Brian and Kim Cyr have been our clients since 1998. They have been taking care of other people’s dogs since 2003. They take very good care of their own pets and the pets that they take care of through their business. Kim understands the importance of providing quality pet care to all pets. We hope their business continues to be filled with happy wagging tails!

We left our dog Jasmine with Kim at The Ritz 4 Petz and have never been happier with a pet sitting service.

Our dog is 10 years old and has never been to a kennel or stayed at another person’s house. We brought Jasmine by for a visit and she seemed okay with Cowboy and Kim’s kids. We brought her back for a 3 week stay and she had a blast. Kim took her for walks with Cowboy and to the dog park and she went everywhere in the van. Jasmine did more things with Kim than she usually does with us, and she just loved it. It is wonderful to find a person who spends so much time with her animals and includes them in her daily routine.

I know Jasmine really misses staying with Kim and her family; it makes me feel really good knowing that whenever we decide to go away again, we’ll be giving our dog a vacation too- and she deserves it!

Our family went on vacation for one week. We were not able to take our dog, Arthur. We are neighbors of the Cyr's and Arthur knows their dog Cowboy, but he has never wanted to play with Cowboy before and wasn’t happy when we put him in their backyard to play. We decided to try Arthur at Kim’s house since we had no other options that we were happy with.

We had checked out several kennels but were not happy with them in regards to the amount of time they would spend with our dog. We also checked out pet sitters who come to your home for short visits but Arthur cannot be left alone for any period of time, so this would not work.

Arthur is somewhat of a nervous dog; he doesn’t like to be alone at all and doesn’t really want to be with other dogs. After one week at Kim’s house, Arthur was a changed dog. Kim told us that she took him to the dog park and Arthur learned to run and play with the other dogs, and even went swimming at a park that had a pond. Arthur has never been in the water before! Kim was able to leave Arthur at home with Cowboy for short periods of time and Arthur never destroyed anything or peed in the house. We were amazed! Arthur even went with Kim while she ran errands in the van.

Now Arthur is different. He goes everywhere we go in our car and wants to check out other dogs on walks or at dog parks. The best thing is that we can leave Arthur alone for short periods of time and he doesn’t panic and destroy the house. Not only did Kim take good care of our dog, but she helped him to become a better and happier dog. Thank you Kim at The Ritz 4 Petz.

You will have made a great choice if you choose The Ritz 4 Petz. Your pet will have a ball and receive the finest care possible. Kim Cyr is a true “Earth Mother”. She just has a unique gift for nurturing…whether it be for children, animals or even the trees and plants in her yard. She is a fantastic care giver who manages to turn everything into fun. How many people do you know that bake their own dog biscuits? Homemade dog treats are just an example of Kim’s creative nature.

Animals of every kind have always been welcome at Kim’s house (inside or out). She subscribes to the philosophy of “the more, the merrier”. Every creature she encounters is spoken to, cuddled and cared for as if it were her own. Animals adore her! My dog Sammy would rather spend time with Kim and Cowboy than go off with us.

Kim loves nothing better than piling the dogs and kids into her van for errands and outings. She is never alone…and neither are your pets.

Kim’s back yard is one of my favorite places. It is actually a Wildlife Habitat (and she has the document from the American Wildlife Federation to prove it). There is a vegetable garden and every type of plant imaginable. Several birdfeeders welcome the ever-present hummingbird and backyard bird population. A fountain’s water trickles on the hillside. It’s a very cool and tranquil place….a kind of Shangrila.

In closing I would like to say that I give The Ritz 4 Petz my highest recommendation and a four star rating. Pet care doesn’t get any better than this!

I have been taking my two schnauzers to The Ritz 4 Petz since they were puppies. Alex and Cotton love Kim and her family and I NEVER worry about them when they are there. Kim truly loves animals and it shows through the caring and attention she provides to each and every canine client. My girls are never bored during their stay. They are in a loving environment 24/7. They sleep where they want, go to the park every day and get to socialize with other animals and people.

Alex and Cotton even know Kim by name. Their tails wag and ears perk up when I ask them, “Are you ready to go see Kim?” The Ritz 4 Petz truly gives me peace of mind and is a great vacation for my girls. I wouldn’t take them anywhere else!

When we had to go out of town this summer, I was considering not going because I felt that there was no place good enough to care for Pepper, Dipsy and Teddy, our three small dogs. It was going to be hard being away from them, let alone worrying about the quality of their care. I had tried having a dog sitter in my home once (with disastrous results) and had on another occasion boarded an older large dog overnight. Impersonal kennels and/or leaving them alone for long periods of time with little attention just was not the answer and not fitting care for beloved family members. Pepper, our 8 yr old miniature Schnauzer had just been diagnosed with Cushing's disease and had gone blind. He was very anxious and needed someone to follow closely all the time.

When we went to leave our dogs at The Ritz 4 Petz with Kim, Brian and Cowboy and all the other dogs she was watching, it was amazing to see them all very quickly find their place and interact positively with the other dogs - dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds. It was like they had been friends for years! Amazingly, Pepper perked right up and was completely in his element. He had no trouble at all adjusting to the new surroundings and he even managed to keep in the center of all the action. He ate well, adjusted well and all three had a blast for the week they were there.

I would not hesitate to highly recommend The Ritz 4 Petz. Rather than returning from our trip to find that our dogs had been left alone and starved for attention, we instead came home to find well fed, happy dogs who said " Aw shucks Mom, can we just play for a little while longer, please ??? "

I am writing to tell everyone what a wonderful time our dog Bear has whenever he goes to The Ritz 4 Petz for a vacation. He has been going there for over 3 years now whenever I need to travel. I travel a lot and Bear goes to The Ritz 4 Petz at least 5 times a year. The last time he came home with his nose healed (he digs in the sand) and Kim had more suggestions for improving his diet (he has pancreatic insufficency), which have helped a lot. Bear always gets so excited blocks before we get there and I always feel good about going away and leaving my best friend.

Bear is always treated as one of the family and I know he gets the best care anywhere. He especially loves the morning trips to the park and playing with Cowboy and the other guests that are at the house. Kim has spent more time investigating ways to improve Bear’s health on the internet than I ever have and now I save lots of money on his medication and Bear's problems have significantly improved.

What I was most impressed with was the time Bear had surgery and Kim and another dogsitter who Kim works with, had a conference about Bear and decided since he was not allowed to run that it would be better to have the other dogsitter, who only walks dogs, take care of him because it would be too hard to leave Bear home when Kim went to the park. Kim took Bear's interest above all in mind. He missed Kim that time but now that he is good to run again he will always want to come to Kim’s house.

Kim’s whole family treats Bear like one of their own. He goes everywhere they go and he even went for Thanksgiving dinner with Kim and her family! Bear even likes their cats. I always feel safe whenever I travel knowing Bear is with Kim at The Ritz 4 Petz. Thanks to Kim and her family for always being there for me and my dog Bear.

I would like anyone interested in using The Ritz4Petz to know that Kim Cyr has changed the life of my dog for the better and made my life much easier because of this difference. I have a Jack Russell Terrier, Mia, that I rescued from a shelter about 8 years ago. Mia is probably a little over 10 years old. Until I started taking her to The Ritz4Petz last April, Mia was quite a handful. Although she loved me, she was extremely territorial, growled and threatened visitors to my home, and was well known in my neighborhood for being out of control and frankly a little "terriorist." The main problem was that Mia never spent time with other dogs or people, except my son, and had no idea how to act as a member of a "pack."

Kim Cyr's loving and positive approach changed everything. Ms. Cyr took the time to meet Mia before I was to leave her to spend the day with the rest of the dogs that were staying at her house. Kim could see that Mia had some problems but felt that she could work with her. I started bringing Mia over to Kim's house once or twice a week just for the day. I was very impressed that Kim took all of the dogs to an off-leash dog park everyday so that they could exercise and bond as part of a pack. I was a little nervous about this because I could never let Mia off her leash outside without her taking off and I would have to chase her down. Kim took the time to let Mia bond with the dogs at her home and learn to be part of the pack. After two visits to the dog park, Mia was running and loving her new found freedom. She looked forward to going to the park and readily came to Kim without being chased when it was time to go home. Because of Kim's work, I can now let Mia come out in the front yard with me without a leash while I am working. She even interacts with other dogs in a positive way, with no fighting, and actually plays with the other dogs in the neighborhood. I would never in all of my dreams have believed that this would be possible. It literally brought tears to my eyes to see Mia being a dog and not having to constantly worry if she was going to run away or fight.

Finally, I occasionally need to board Mia overnight when I travel. Once again Kim Cyr and her unique service at Ritz4Petz was an unbelievably positive experience for Mia and me. I know that my dog never ate when I had boarded her in the past and I am pretty sure she was not walked or played with even though I paid extra money for those services. Because of the unique situation at The Ritz4Petz, I know Mia was being constantly stimulated by being with other dogs and of course got exercise in the daily visits to the park. She is still a picky eater but Kim Cyr went out of her way to cook special meals for Mia in an effort to get her to eat, which she did. Kim Cyr shows my dog real affection and I know Mia feels safe and loved any time she visits The Ritz4Petz. I was completely shocked that Kim said she would even allow Mia to sleep on her bed if it made her more comfortable, because Mia is used to sleeping with me. This was an unbelievably kind gesture to my dog and I cannot tell you how impressed I was. I continue to bring Mia over to Kim's house at least once a week for the day so she doesn't forget how to be a dog and part of the pack. In conclusion, I cannot say enough times what a positive impact that Kim Cyr and The Ritz4Petz have had on my dog Mia. She is a changed dog and her whole outlook and behavior at home has changed. People no longer feel it necessary to cross the street to avoid us when we are out walking because they do not want to deal with the former "terriorist." I feel much more comfortable not having to shut Mia up in a room when I have guests over. Because of Kim's influence I feel it is safe to let Mia be around even the smallest of children which will be important when I have grandchildren in the not too distant future. I heartily encourage anyone who is looking for a way to make your dog's life a lot more enjoyable to use the services of Kim Cyr and The Ritz4Petz. She certainly has changed Mia's and my life forever. I am eternally grateful. Thank you so much Kim, I really appreciate your work and affection for my dog.

The Cowboy Poem
By Kim Cyr

One ear up and one ear down, Cowboy dog is such a clown.
Ask him if he wants a walk, he’ll tilt his head and try to talk.
He’s black and white with a freckly nose and follows Kim wherever she goes.
Cowboy really likes our cat but always wonders where she’s at.
His favorite thing is a squeaky toy. It drives us nuts but he seems to enjoy
Squeaking it throughout the day. Take it away and you will pay.
His favorite game is tug-of-war. Let it go, he’s back for more.
Then he’ll grab a bear or bunny. Chew off the face ‘til it looks funny.
Next he’ll pull the stuffing out. Try to stop him, he will pout.
Cowboy makes us laugh and play, he's our dog, he’s here to stay.

(We adopted Cowboy when he was 7 months old. He had been in a shelter twice and we wanted him to know that he was going to be with us forever!)
