Our philosophy at the Ritz 4 Petz is to give your dog everything they need in a safe, healthy and fun environment, when you cannot be home. Your dog will be allowed to have the run of the house, sleeping wherever they choose and will become part of our family while they are here. They will receive exercise, mental stimulation, food, shelter and above all…love.
Because they are social animals, dogs thrive on being around other people and animals throughout the day, and this above all else, is what the Ritz 4 Petz can offer. Your dog will be with us 24 hours a day and will also know what it is like to operate within a pack of dogs, eating, exercising and socializing with their own kind. Your dog will get daily exercise at our local off-leash dog park and will ride with Kim in the van when she runs errands or takes the kids to school. Your dog will be kept very busy and will be loved by every member of our household.
Dogs want to be part of a pack of dogs, because in the wild, this is how they live. At the Ritz 4 Petz your dog will learn to recognize Kim as the leader of the pack or the “Alpha” dog and will probably want to be with her wherever she goes. We encourage this. When Kim goes to an off-leash dog park, all of the dogs stay with her because they are a pack, and when it is time to go home, she never has a problem getting everyone in the van because the “pack” is leaving. Even when the dogs aren't exercising, they are playing and interacting with the other dogs in the pack all day long. This makes for a very stimulating environment.
You may find that your dog will be very tired when you bring them home after a stay at the Ritz 4 Petz. This is normal because the dogs are busy all day long. Your dog also may seem somewhat lethargic or sad, probably because things are quieter at your home. This is also normal and will pass as your dog gets used to your routine again. When you bring your dog back for a second stay at the Ritz 4 Petz you will be amazed at how quickly your dog realizes where they are going and at how excited they get. This should be enough to convince you that the Ritz 4 Petz is not just a boarding facility, it’s a wonderful adventure for your dog.
