The Ritz4Petz
Pet Sitting in Our Home

About Us

If your dog is to become part of our family, then let us introduce ourselves.

Kim is the main caretaker, feeder, exerciser and lover. She will be the main person that your dog will bond to at The Ritz 4 Petz. She has worked with dogs all her life, having worked as a veterinarian's assistant, a foster parent for Shelter Pet Partners, a volunteer for Project Wildlife and the local dog guru dispensing tips and advice to all of her friends, neighbors and clients. Kim is also the "alpha" leader of the pack, taking the dogs to the local off-leash park every day, driving them around in her van and sleeping with them at night. Kim has a lot of experience with dog behavior, having seen and dealt with all manners of dog behavior over the last six years.

Brian is the second in command. He helps out in all areas and has been known to abscond with a favorite dog or two before retiring to bed. Brian works hard at another job during the day and loves to relax at night. The dogs all seem to know this and congregate around him at night.

Cowboy is our one and only dog. Our business could not succeed if Cowboy was an overly jealous or easily intimidated dog. He is neither and we honestly think that Cowboy believes we bring all of these dogs home for him to play with! He is a border collie and true to his breed, spends all of his time at home checking up on everyone, human and canine alike. He also will jump in between two dogs if he thinks they are playing too rough and will protect our cats if he thinks a dog's intentions are not honorable. Cowboy is the fastest dog at our dog park, but we know that sooner or later he will meet his match.
Autumn is our calico cat. She is somewhat shy but LOVES to lie under the couch where she can see all that is going on, but knows that the dogs cannot reach her. She knows this drives them nuts!

Winter is our Siamese dog. She truly believes she is a dog because she was raised with dogs from the age of three days old. She is one of our foster kitties that we have adopted. If your dog has never met a cat up close, then Winter is a good cat to learn from.

The Ritz 4 Petz has been in business for over six years now, having had over 300 dogs go through our home. It started out by Kim watching neighbors' dogs in their homes. When she realized that she could get a lot more accomplished by bringing the dogs home with her, and that the dogs bonded to her a lot more quickly if they were with her all day and night, The Ritz 4 Petz was born.
